The study with a qualitative approach and narrative review of the literature analyzed publications and documentation of four cases of public interest related to acts of corruption, the unit of analysis was the publications of four cases: that of the children and residents of Ranrapata, the Asparrin case, the possible nepotism of a councilor of the District Municipality of Orcotuna towards his niece, and favoritism between business partners within the District Municipality of Orcotuna, analysis matrices were applied as instruments for collecting and processing information. It was found that the related investigative journalists used investigative journalism techniques, methods and principles that allowed them to access evidence that denoted acts of corruption in an objective and logical manner. It is concluded that in all four cases the methodology of investigative journalism was appropriately used.
