Abstract

The aim was to optimize the production of photovoltaic energy by means of panels with solar trackers; for this purpose, a control block experiment was designed using two solar panels, one with a solar tracker and the other with a fixed system. The results showed significant differences (t, p < .05) in the average power generated by the panel with solar tracker (0.675 W) with respect to the fixed solar panel (0.631 W). These results suggest that the designed prototype increases the photovoltaic energy production by approximately 7% with respect to fixed or conventional solar panels.
