DEVELOPMENT SUSTAINABLE OF THE DISTRICT OF HUALHUAS, HUANCAYO (2001 -2005)

Abstract

The work had as purpose to identify the current situation of the social, economic and environmental activities, to promote the sustainable development of the district of Hualhuas. The analysis was elaborated with the five year-old information, with the multidisciplinary participation of specialized professionals and with the information of the peasants (interviews). The type of transactional descriptive study was used; the analytic methodology and of synthesis. The used hypothesis was "the sustainable development of the district Hualhuas is 0,35". The population in study was conformed by 600 producing of the rural community, with a sample of 100 producers to who you/they were applied a socioeconomic

questionnaire designed to measure the dimensions of the sustainable development (environmental, economic and social). The results indicate that the community is in a level of unstable sustainable development, when presenting values of S³ 0,501 on the average. The environmental dimension presented the biggest limitation for the sustainable, being noticed the necessity to design and to execute plans and programs of rural development that allow to promote and to improve the sustainable development of the district of Hualhuas.
