Revisión sistemática de escalas que miden apoyo social en adultos mayores

El apoyo social favorece la salud integral en la vejez, su adecuada medición permite la identificación de adultos mayores con riesgo de depresión o deterioro cognitivo. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo describir las propiedades psicométricas de las escalas que miden apoyo social en adultos mayores. Mediante los lineamientos de la declaración PRISMA se realizó una revisión sistemática de la producción científica de escalas de apoyo social en la vejez, la búsqueda se llevó a cabo en las bases de datos: PudMed, Web Of Science, Scopus, PubPsych, Dialnet, Scielo y Lilacs. Se seleccionaron y analizaron 10 artículos publicados entre 1987 y 2023, siete validaciones de escalas existentes y tres investigaciones sobre el diseño de nuevos instrumentos. Se identificaron valores de confiabilidad con un rango de .84 a .96 y valores de validez con puntuaciones que se sitúan entre .31 y .58, indicando que las escalas analizadas presentan propiedades psicométricas adecuadas para medir apoyo social en adultos mayores. Se espera que los resultados de esta investigación permitan la identificación de escalas para el diseño y evaluación de programas de apoyo social en la vejez.
