Abstract

The research work used 20 questions on the Likert scale from Herrmann's brain dominance instrument, in order to determine the differences and the brain dominance of the students of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Faculty of the Universidad  Nacional del Centro del Perú. The work was performerd with 140 students from different semesters in 2019-I. Descriptive graphics and tables  were used to analize the data.

Cronbach's alpha equal to 0.77 was used to validate the instrument, the results allowed visualizing the existence of differences in brain dominance, where without brain dominance represents 49.29%, primary dominance 30.71%, secondary dominance 10, 00%, tertiary dominance 7.14% and quadruple dominance 2.86%. The sample represents that 49.29% don’t have dominance and only 2.86% has quadruple dominance, among the mentioned students. Therefor the highest percentage of students do not present any dominance of the four quadrants or avoid them.
