Abstract

It examines the significance of the shear strength in soils and the importance of parameters such as cohesion and angle of internal friction in the models used for engineering design, particularly in the security level to be guaranteed both construction and during its lifetime. This study presents the work carried out and reveal the characteristics, physical and mechanical properties of soils that are located in the El Tambo district, Huancayo. It was necessary to find the best knowledge and use of geotechnical conditions for its solution is the different deposits of various kinds, identify their constituents know their properties and analyze their behavior to external requests that alter their state natural.
