PERCEPTION OF THE ADULT POPULATION OF THE MANTARO VALLEY ON THE PROCESS OF DECENTRALIZATION

Abstract

The study tries to explain what the level of the adult population knowledge about decentralization in the Mantaro Valley. The investigation level has been exploring, the interview and the survey based in some parameters of the Institute Peruvian Studies, using field notebooks, questionnaire formats and interview files. The data have been analyzed qualitative and quantitative. And area of the population in the Mantaro Valley affirms to be a Little or not decentralizing and it swens that they don’t trust in decentralization, possibly due to the lack of will of the goubernament in broadcasting what this process is about. So it is that 60 % don´t trust in the decentralization against 28,3 % who do believe; 72,5 % affirm that the goubernment in course is a little or not decentralizing at all against 19,5 % who are in deed.A 74,3 % is worried about education and the economic well-being instead orf security and building in front of delinquency; 66 % of the population interviewed prefers improving the social services (education and health) and the feeding situation of the poorest population; 45,1 % think that work in communities must be promoted; 65,5 % think that corruption is the biggest problem of the process of the decentralization. Moreover 75 % disapproves the regional goubernment and the 62,2 % disapproves the province goubernment; 53,5 % disapproves the district goubernment; 80 % disapproves the Congress and the 34 % disapproves the Universidad Nacional del Centro del Perú.
