Abstract

The work boarded, as investigation problem, the incidence of the small property in the socio-economic level of the families Ahuac district - Chupaca, Junín region. with the objective of analyzing the incidence of small property on agricultural production yield, in the income level and family social conditions, with the purpose of profiling strategies of continue improvements of the socio-economic conditions. The hypotheses to demonstrate was that smallholding impacts deteriorating the socio-economic level of the families of the district of Ahuac - Chupaca. The results of the investigation evidence the reduction of the economic active population of the district of Ahuac in 60,4% compared with 87% in 1993, which represents a reduction in 27,6%. This fact evidences as consequence of the low incomes of the agricultural activity, some families are replacing their occupations gradually with other non agricultural activities as a complement and other families have replaced totally, being one of the effects of the incidence of the smallholding. 42, 7% of the interviewed small farmers of the district of Ahuac perceives between S/.200 and S/.399 monthly (table Nº 13), 92, 3% have rustic material houses and live crowded. (tables Nº.20 and 22). it is verified that 40,4% of the interviewed small farmers of the district of Ahuac have high school instruction, 41,1% primary instruction, 12,6% superior instruction. There are 6% of illiterate informants. In conclusion, the small farms impacts diminishing the level of income, the yield of the agricultural production, the social conditions of the families of the district of Ahuac - Chupaca. To solve this problem the agrarian restructuring of the small property accompanied by an associative organization of the families are recommended dedicated to three commercial flag cultivations as: carrot, Indian corn, potato and the milkmaid of the cattle ascent with the cultivated grasses.
