Level of production of texts expositive in students of secondary of the district of Huancayo

Abstract

The research is applied with the descriptive method, with a simple descriptive design in a population of 350 students. The sample was made up of 187 students from six sections of the fourth grade of Secondary Education of the I.E “Our Lady of Cocharcas” - Huancayo, all female, whose ages range between 15 and 16 years. The purpose of the research was to determine the production of expository texts, since it was observed that the majority of students showed deficiency in the production of expository texts. An essay-type test was applied to the study sample. The data were processed using descriptive statistics such as Crombach's alpha and chi square. The results showed that 48.12% of the students are at the beginning achievement level, 37.02% are in process, 19.79% are at the achieved level, and 1.07% are at the outstanding level.
