Abstract

The objective of this brief article is to rethink ourselves as Community Social Workers and pay tribute to the teacher and friend Natalio Kisnerman, who this year marks the 15th anniversary of his physical disappearance, but not his personal, intellectual and professional stamp. In the first place, I present the founding passages of a Community-Collaborative Social Work, from an intercultural, constructionist and community networks perspective, an approach built on almost 20 years of community experiences and deconstructive processes of different ways of operating in the territory by professionals, academics and students. Social Work, Health Education and Community Psychology. Then I invite you to rethink ourselves as Social Workers in general, based on the text by Natalio Kisnerman (1982) "People's Social Service" whose contents still seem valid to me.
