La visión social hacia los comedores populares peruanos en tiempos de COVID-19: Caso comedor popular "Héroes de San Juan"

Abstract

The present work is based on the beginning of the year 2020, which brought with it a highly transmissible deadly virus, Covid-19, which generated a series of transformations that made evident the social gaps present in our country. Within this established framework, the main objective of this diagnostic research is to achieve significant transformations in the community, generate a state of well-being for the inhabitants and encourage healthy habits for the protection of the population of the soup kitchen "Heroes de San Juan" of Nueva Rinconada, Pamplona Alta, San Juan de Miraflores, as well as to identify their needs and potentialities in order to adopt appropriate intervention strategies. For this purpose, the diagnostic research will begin by explaining the institutional framework of the CALMA Foundation and the specific program in which it has been developed. Subsequently, we will explain the diagnostic research process and the characteristics of the population served. Likewise, we will address the social problems in the context of Covid-19 and the alternatives offered by Social Work. By way of conclusion, by way of conclusion, the community of the soup kitchen "Heroes de San Juan" is affected by the Covid-19, where a crisis is provoked that takes human lives, affecting from the economic and social; that is to say, the functioning of society and families. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the effort in implementing measures to address challenges, reinforcing, mainly, prevention measures. Social work directs the work towards intervention that seeks to emphasize the promotion and social management with the aim of achieving significant transformations in the community.
