Abstract

The research that is presented is of an applied type of explanatory level, for which the scientific method was used, its objective was to establish the reading corner at home in the development of reading habits in the third grade students of the Institución Educativa Integrado Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Jauja. The pre-experimental design was used with a pre-test and post-test group to which 20 didactic sessions were applied. The population consisted of 164 students, from which a sample of 19 third grade students was taken. The technique used for data collection was observation, using the questionnaire instrument being filled out by the students, in which the reading habit was measured before and after making the reading corner in their homes and the data being processed. using statistical analysis in SPSS v.
It is concluded that the reading corner at home influences the development of reading habits in third grade students of the IEI SCJ Jauja.
