Plastic arts in the reduction of anxiety in students of the National University of Central Perú

Abstract

Studies on anxiety in the educational area have been achieving important advances from the descriptive level, however the methodological strategies that allow its reduction are still few and are references in the psychological area, for this reason the research objective was to demonstrate the influence of the plastic arts in the reduction of anxiety in the students of the Professional Career of Initial Education of the National University of the Center of Peru; the thesis corresponds to the type of applied research, at an explanatory level, with a quasi-experimental design; being the accessible population 276 students of the Professional School of Initial Education and as a sample 106 of the Professional Career in mention, for their selection the non-probabilistic technique was used; For data collection, the survey technique was used and the Anxiety Self-Assessment Scale as an instrument whose author is W. Zung; In data processing techniques, descriptive and inferential statistics were applied: non-parametric statistical Chi square in order to determine the significant difference between the control group and the experimental group; reaching the conclusion that the plastic arts do have a significant positive influence on the reduction of anxiety in the students of the National University of the Center of Peru.
