Municipal social responsibility in urban and environmental management in the district of Kimbiri, The Convention, Cusco, 2024

Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the municipal social responsibility in urban and environmental management in the district of Kimbiri - La Convencion - Cusco. 2024, the type of research is basic, descriptive level, general scientific method, ethnographic and phenomenological design, the approach is qualitative, the technique was the semi-structured interview guide, the sample comprises eight administrative of the municipality of Kimbiri. As to the results obtained, the main findings revealed that in terms of urban management, it requires the zoning of priority urban infrastructure areas, as well as environmental risk areas, especially on slopes susceptible to landslides during the rainy season. In the environmental dimension, the municipality has an authorized landfill in the Sampantuari Alta area and is in the process of implementing a new solid waste treatment plant. It is also promoting a participatory environmental policy. In conclusion, the research indicates that municipal social responsibility in Kimbiri reflects that, in urban areas, the urgent need for better zoning was identified and in environmental areas, the implementation of an authorized landfill and the start of a waste treatment plant stand out, which shows an institutional commitment to sustainability and ethical public management. It is recommended to the local government of Kimbiri to have a concerted development plan for urban and environmental management.
